Well, for those that aren't in the know, I lost my job towards the end of January. Kind of a shock at first but ultimately Sarah and I both decided that only something good could come from this. I took the time to start studying for new and better certifications than the crap I'd gotten with Innovative, and started looking for jobs that would better further my career. Enter, Home Properties who is starting me Monday as a Network Administrator. I'm sure I'll have to work my way up again, and meet new people, but it's better work, same pay, better benefits and it's much closer to home, maybe 10-15 minutes tops, in bad traffic.
In other news, I've started my own website. A combination of my crazy rantings, and product reviews. It's still pretty limited in what it has, but I try to add more everyday. So take a peek, tell me what you think and offer up any suggestions you can. Requests for reviews would also be cool, or just tell me some of the new stuff you're trying out so I can take a look at it. Finally, not all of the articles were written by me so don't think I'm a total hack when it comes to writing. So, check it out! http://geekjunk.com |

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

- What I create will be just for you.
- It'll be done this year (2009).
- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a mix CD. It may be a poem. I may write fic or make icons. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
-Spencer made me do this to get something from him, so who knows what I would actually come up with, plus I'm not shipping anything so if you live really far away it'll probably be a word document. Or something. I don't know.

Over Thanksgiving, Sarah and I, along with her Dad, Grandpa, Sisters, and Brother in law in tow, went out searching for hidden treasure via GPS coordinates, aka Geocaching. We had a lot of fun, despite me constantly refering to the mini-van as "The Chopper" and how we need to get back to it.
On a return trip to Ohio a week or so ago, we went out again, this time at night to find a bunch hidden in cemeteries, also known as spirit quests. Well that was enough, I was sold.
On coming back to Rochester, Sarah and I did a little research got some pointers from Sarah's Dad and finally settled on Garmin's eTrex Vista HCx. It should be here by Monday and Sarah and I are both totally pumped! |

This weekend Sarah and I were out walking, and we saw a lost cat poster up. The description matched a black cat that had been stopped by the house a little less than a week prior, and I felt bad for missing the chance to do anything about it.
Well fate has a fun way about it, and as I'm leaving to take the second half of my A+ certification test (which I passed) the cat came out from under my car and was very affectionate. Not wanting to miss another chance, I scoop him up, put him in our stairway with food, water and a make shift liter box and head off to my test before I'm late.
I get back an hour and a half or so later to a very angry scared cat, not to mention our two cats who are going nuts hearing this angry cat hissing and yowling from the other side of the door. My only hope is that this is in fact the right cat and not either a stray, unlikely because he was very friendly and very well fed, or someone else's cat.
I'll update after Sarah gets home and we call the number.

It wasn't hers, so off he went, probably a neighbors cat thats just really friendly. |

This weekend Sarah and I went out and got ourselves two adorable little kittens. They're sisters, and we named hem Pogo and Mace Windu. Full story along with pictures coming soon! |

So Sarah, Susan and I are all sitting here in our apartment talking, and Susan starts taking Saran Wrap and wrapping up her hand, Sarah stops talking and says "Susan what are you doing?" And Susan replies, "I'm drunk" and we laugh, and she just keeps wrapping her self and I go and blog this. |

Sarah and I, along with the awesome and ubiquitous Susan, the fashionable Mel, and the roller coaster virgin John, went over to an end of the season romp through Darien Lake, formerly Six Flags. Throughout the day we went on every coaster, with Sarah and I riding in the very front on every single one, even the super man! It was a really good time and I'm glad that I was able to enjoy it with Sarah, she really made the whole day worth it, especially getting to hear her yell and scream on a few of them... ;) But she was there with me in the front the whole time and that totally made my day. We finished it up with some wraps at a "family" restaurant. |
